What our vacationers thought:

Awesome Stay at Snowy Owl

We had a great stay at the “Snowy Owl” house. It was even better in person than the pictures online. The house is very private, clean and fully equipped. The décor is warm and inviting and the beds are super comfortable. One of the best features, which is hard to find in Maine, was the air conditioning, which we needed in July.
We loved spending time on the Salt Pond and it was so convenient to rent kayaks from The Activity Shop in town. They delivered them right to the house. Keep an eye out for bald eagles. We found their nest about one mile to the right of the house on a tiny island in the middle of the pond.
Bar Harbor and Acadia were only an hour away and great places to visit.
Lastly, the communications and booking process was flawless.
We would highly recommend staying at The Snowy Owl.

Comfortable, clean, cosy, convenient getaway

This cottage was perfect for my family’s vacation this year. We loved it. We desperately needed a calm, clean and relaxing place that was a convenient drive to multiple places we wanted to see in Maine, yet still serene and out of the way. After days in bustling Acadia National Park, coming home to this lovely home and watching the sun set over the tranquil pond was perfect. The kitchen was also spacious and clean. The appliances are in good shape and easy to use. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The upstairs bathroom had a spalike feel. The whole house is spaciously laid out which adds to the relaxing feel. Yes, it’s a bit of a drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia, but the peace, comfort and pleasantness of this house on Salt Pond gave our vacation extra relaxation and enjoyment. We also enjoyed being there in the Brooklin/Blue Hill area, with its quaint homes, shops, and artists’ studios; healthy grocery options at the new food co-op, and one other well-stocked supermarket. We highly recommend a stay at this cottage. We would definitely stay there again.
