This is also the place for launching your kayaks and spending endless hours searching the tide pools for sea life, shells, and that perfect piece of sea glass. At dusk, the short walk from the house down to the dock will reward you with gorgeous sunsets facing west over Eggemoggin Reach.
The property is a short 1/2 mile walk or bike ride to the center of Brooklin where you’ll love the library, Betsy’s Sunflower Boutique, and the Farmer’s Market on Thursday afternoons. The famed Wooden Boat School is 1.7 miles away, an easy bike ride. The adventurous renter can even get there by kayak, depending on the tide! Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are an hour away by car, barring traffic. Deer Isle and Stonington, location of many fine art galleries, restaurants and the famous Haystack School (of arts and crafts) is a 20-30 minute drive.
